This is a 6-week continuation course after completing the starter course below: _____ Start a new passion and dive into one of the most beautiful partner dances in the World, Brazilian Zouk. In this 8 week starter course you will learn the basics of Brazilian Zouk (the steps, the rhythm, the dynamics and flow). Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, this course will introduce you to the basic steps and techniques of Brazilian Zouk. You’ll be able to connect with yourself and others and let go of the stress of the day, allowing yourself to fully immerse in the joy of dancing. *** What is Brazilian Zouk *** Known for its beautiful flow and dynamic movements, Brazilian Zouk is a couples dance style (originating from Brazil) that emphasises connection and communication between partners. Like any other partner dance, it has defined steps and a clear rhythm to dance to. Brazilian zouk is so special because it provides an immense space for creativity, improvisation and musicality to play with. Through this dance, you'll learn to lead and follow in partnership, allowing expression and creativity to various styles of music. *** Class information *** The classes will be 75 minutes long with 45 minutes on technique and 30 minutes on partner connection, creativity and embodiment. *** Registration *** No partner or experience is necessary; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!
